Our story
Started with a simple belief
Family Fabrics was founded in 2019 in the Netherlands with one clear idea: beautiful fabric shouldn’t require a factory minimum. We wanted to build a studio where designers, makers and brands could bring their ideas to life — one meter at a time.
We started small, and we stayed intentional. From the beginning our focus has been on doing one thing really well: printing your design onto premium fabric, with care and precision, and getting it to you fast.
What started as a passion project has grown into a full studio — still independent, still hands-on, still run by people who genuinely love making things.

Invested in our own Italian Reggiani digital printer. Full control over quality, colour and production.

The Reggiani investment
A milestone moment
Our own Italian Reggiani digital printer
In 2021 we made one of our most important decisions: investing in our own Reggiani digital textile printer — one of the most respected names in professional textile printing, made in Italy.
This wasn’t just a business upgrade. It was a commitment. With the Reggiani, we gained complete control over every print that leaves our studio — sharper colours, consistent results, and the ability to produce beautifully from a single meter to large runs.

A small team with big passion
We’re a dedicated team of 5 to 7 people who genuinely love what we do. From design advice and file preparation through to printing, quality checking and packing your order — every step is handled by someone who cares about the result.
Design & Advice
We help you get your file right before it goes to print. Colour guidance, file checks and pattern advice — we’re always a message away.
Production
Our operators run the Reggiani printer Monday to Friday. Every order is reviewed before and after printing so what arrives at your door is exactly what we’d keep ourselves.
Dispatch
Cut, rolled and packed with care. We dispatch within 2–5 working days and send you a tracking link the moment your order leaves our studio in Joure.

Every roll of fabric is a blank canvas. We love seeing what people create with it — from a first sewing project to a fashion collection. The creativity of our customers is what keeps us excited every single day.
Making things
We’re makers at heart. There’s something genuinely satisfying about turning a digital file into a real, physical textile you can hold, cut and sew. That feeling drives everything we do at Family Fabrics.
Less waste
We print on demand. Nothing is made until you order it — which means no excess stock, no unsold fabric, no landfill. It’s a simpler way to produce that just makes sense.
