Prepare Your Design
- Cut your artwork using a vinyl cutter or plotter.
- Weed away the excess material, leaving only your design on the carrier sheet.
Position the Film
- Lay the film onto your garment or material with the adhesive side down.
- Smooth out wrinkles and ensure your surface is clean and dry.
When using a heat press
Use a heat press for consistent, professional results.
General settings (may vary by film type):
Temperature: 150–165°C (300–330°F)
Pressure: Medium
Time: 10–15 seconds
Always follow product-specific instructions for the exact film you’re using.
When using an iron
Set Your Iron: Set to Cotton or High Heat (no steam).
Ensure the iron is fully heated before pressing.
Apply Firm Pressure:
Press down hard with your body weight.
Hold the iron still for 10–15 seconds per section. Lift and move to the next section until the whole design is pressed.
When using an iron
Peel according to the film when still hot. Remove the sheet slowly to ensure the design has fully adhered.
Optional
Press again for 2–5 seconds using a silicone or Teflon sheet for extra durability.
